Papo dinosaur collection
For those who don't know who Papo is, Papo is a French figure/toy manufacturing company. They are mainly known for their dinosaur figures. Let me just tell you, their dinosaur figures are absolutely magnificent! Such great sculpts and massive detail is put into them! What's great this they are a decent size for a decent price! I've recently started collecting these about a year ago. My first one was the Papo brown T-Rex. Its my favorite one to date! Please note that i'm only collecting the carnivores since I prefer Carnivores much more over Herbivores.
T-Rex (Brown)
The brown T-Rex was my first Papo I ever got. As you might notice, this T-Rex looks very much like the one in Jurassic Park. That's because this figure was heavily inspired by that T-Rex design. Papo loves the Jurassic Park dinosaur designs and has made many figures based on them! This one is based on the female T-Rex which is brown. Papo doesn't have any rights to making Jurassic Park/World products sadly. I hope someday they do get the right though. They capture the look of the dinosaurs extremely well! They put tons of detail into it! What I like a lot about Papo is the colors. They make them look very realistic and not to vibrant! Sure it might look dull to some people but i'd rather have a realistic colored dinosaur than lets say a bright orange, yellow, or green one!
Papo has made another T-Rex exactly like this except its green and the head sculpt is a bit different. It was Papo's first dinosaur. It was made in 2005. Even today, that T-Rex holds up to be my absolute favorite T-Rex figure! Its based off of the male T-Rex which is green. Sadly, the green variant is retired now. Your best shot at finding it is off EBay. They usually go for $25 and up. This brown T-Rex is the cheapest variant you can get. There is also a purple one that costs a bit more. It looks exactly like the brown just a different color. If your interested in getting this brown T-Rex, i'd highly suggest getting it off Amazon or EverythingDinosaur. EBay is a bit more expensive surprisingly. It usually goes for $20-$30. It might be pricy, but its worth it!

Spinosaurus (2007)
This Papo Spinosaurus was released in 2007. Its heavily based on the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3. Man oh man do I wish this was colored like the one in the movie! Would of looked awesome! This figure is spot on in the JP3 one. It looks exactly like it! Not including the colors. Honestly, it looks like a little figure of the giant animatronic Spinosaurus used in the movie! It just looks that good! I also forgot to mention, that most of Papo's carnivores have jaws that you can open and close!
This figure is definitely one of Papo's most detailed dinosaurs. Its also the biggest and longest carnivore!
My only issue with this figure is, I got one with balancing issues. Its on a soft surface in the image but when I place it on a hard, it falls onto its claw. I tried putting it in hot water so many times to fix it, but no luck. I've just given up on this guy. Despite that, this figure is amazing! I got him off EverythingDinosaur. If I remember, he was about $25. Since he's an old figure, that's about how much he's worth. Of course, people will always charge more though! I'd highly suggest getting him off EverythingDinosaur!

Acrocanthosaurus (2017)
This Acrocanthosaurus was released in 2017. So he's one of Papo's newest releases! With an entirely new sculpt! Each year, Papo comes out with possibly about 4 new dinosaur figures. This year it was Ceratosaurus, Cryolophosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, and a few others. Acro was the one I was the most excited about. At first, I was skeptical about his pose. But over time, I grew onto it. Now i'm very happy they went for this pose! It looks like his in a predatory crouch position! In the image on the right, you can see all the wonderful detail In the belly region! The veins, wrinkles, and skin being pulled looks absolutely amazing! The detail on the feet is incredible as well! Papo, already a very skilled company, continues to improve their detail on the dinosaurs. Now, Papo may not be faithful to scientific accurateness, but they do try to be not too inaccurate. For example, they wouldn't give something like a T-Rex three fingers when obviously it only had two.
If there is one thing to nitpick about this figure, its the choice of colors. I mean, its not bad. I do like it! I just wish they went for a more unique color scheme. Papo has used this color scheme on some other dinosaurs before. But since this is a entirely new dinosaur and sculpt, I can let that pass!
I got this guy off EverythingDinosaur for $28. He's new, but i'm sure the price will go down over the years!

Walking V-Rex (2012)
This guy was released in 2012. And let me just point out straight away that this figure is actually called, Walking/Running T-Rex. The reason I call it V-Rex is because the sculpt of the head is based off the V-Rex in King Kong. So its pretty much got the head of a V-Rex and the somewhat body of a T-Rex. His arms are much too long for a T-Rex's though. V-Rex merchandise is very hard to come by. There is a V-Rex bust out there but its nearly impossible to find. So this is the closest, and cheapest thing you'll get to a V-Rex. I really really wish they full on made this inspired by the V-Rex because the V-Rex was awesome!
The reason this guy is on a plastic thingy is sadly, he cannot stand up. He'll fall over. What's strange is when I got him, he was fine. But as time passed, he just sorta fell over.
This figure is one if, if not the most detailed dinosaur figure. You can see the beautiful veins in the tail, skin wrinkles, just about massive detail everywhere! It may not be an accurate dinosaur figure, but its still an awesome one! He's one of Papo's most popular!
I got this guy off Amazon for if I remember, $25? Somewhere around there.
